The Team

For us church isn’t about the people at the front, we all have a part to play in our life together as we seek to follow Jesus. However we are blessed to have a number of people who take the lead on various parts of our life together.

Rev. Samuel Patterson – The Vicar

Samuel joined us as our Vicar in June 2023 having served his Curacy in the Netherwent Ministry Area in Monmouth Diocese.
Before Ordination he studied Robotics at the University of Reading and was a founding member of the Holywell Community in Abergavenny. He is married to Katy who is a freelance illustrator and together they are loving getting to know the area and the people.
In his free time he enjoys DIY, playing video games and heading off to the cinema to enjoy the latest releases.
Samuel is also Vicar in Marloes & St Brides.

Wardens

John and Geraint serve as our Church Wardens. They ensure the smooth day to day running of the church covering everything from ensuring the right service books are out, to making sure the church and grounds are clean and tidy. When you come along, whether on a Sunday morning or to a wedding or funeral, you’ll likely meet one of them near the door welcoming you.
John also serves as the chair of our church committee.

Worship Leaders

As well as Samuel, we have a number of members of the church who lead worship on a monthly basis.
They are: Colin, Jackie, Jean B, Jean R, John & Pat.
